Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Dr. J Ingredient Notes (drjnote.com) collects, why it is collected, and how long it is kept. It applies to both the Korean and English sections of this site.

Effective date: September 10, 2026. This is the English version of our Korean privacy policy. If the two differ, the Korean version governs.

1. What we collect and why

When you leave a comment
Your name or nickname, email address, website address (optional), along with your IP address and browser information. We use these to block spam and to reply to you.

When you email us
The email address you write from and the content of your message. We use these only to answer you.

Collected automatically
Access logs, cookies, device and browser type, and which pages you visited. We use these to see which articles are helpful. This information is not kept in a form that identifies you personally.

This site has no membership or login, so we do not collect names, phone numbers, addresses, or payment information.

2. Cookies

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This blog uses cookies for visit statistics and for displaying ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not prevent you from reading this site, though some features may behave differently.

3. Third-party services

We use the following outside services. Each collects information under its own privacy policy.

  • Google Analytics — visit statistics. Collected in aggregate, not in a form that identifies you.
  • Google AdSense — advertising. See the paragraph below.
  • Google Search Console and Naver Search Advisor — search indexing tools.
  • Affiliate links — if a post contains an affiliate link, that fact is stated in the post itself.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a consent message before advertising cookies are used, and may change that choice at any time.

4. How long we keep information

  • Comments — kept while the comment is posted. Deleted when you ask us to remove it.
  • Email inquiries — deleted within one year of the last exchange.
  • Statistics — kept only in anonymized form.

When the purpose has been served, the information is deleted and cannot be recovered.

5. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or ask us to stop processing it. Write to the address in section 6 and we will respond without delay.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
